Apps are the one place that Android has been playing catch up with.
In the major app space like facebook, amazon, the bigger area's Android has kept up and in some cases are better then there Apple counterparts. But when you look at the smaller market apps that is were Android is still playing catch up. Example. Weight Watchers for years has had a full featured Apple App. Last Year the added a pitful Android app although they have seen the light and are working on a full featured app like they have on the iphone but the last time I tested there beta it was still unstable. I am sure someone can come up with examples of the opposite and they exist however overall more stuff like that gets IPhone support first and then Android support still. Why that is I think is in part the number of people / development houses that can create an apple app comparied to the still rather young Android eco system.
