I sympathise, you've made a very good point, early Android, both the phones and the Tablets were not very good at all. lumping them all together (as this article does) is not a a good idea, there is a world of difference between the generic cheap no name tablet vs. a Samsung, Xoom or Transformer. The fact that Android is free and can be used by anyone is both a strength but also a major weakness.
