How do you get your Gmail ??? mobile app or the mobile Web browser? Why?
I use the Mail app on my iPhone to read and write emails. However, I always use the web browser version when doing a search. Kevin is right, the search is far superior via the mobile web browser version.
Having some very 'public' email addresses, I receive hundreds of junks per day. But, I NEVER want to risk a false positive marking of a valid Mail -- so my technique is based on specific rules, rather than a flexible, uncertain 'score' from spamassasin (or similar).

And furthermore, my emails are private - I keep them, and they're taken OFF THE INTERNET multiple times per day. With the kinds of search tools you can use in desktop Thunderbird, it remains my client of choice. I only only do webmail in a phone when I'm on the road and traveling "light".

I also prefer to use my own filters to have more control over what gets discarded. Google really needs to add wild card capability to filters or at least the ability to filter on @domain instead of the whole address. I get lots of junk mail from foreign accounts that get past the filters simply by changing one letter in the email address. Check the forums and you'll see this request has been out there for a couple years. It's odd that Google has not answered it.

Okay so I listened and got an Android based Galaxy S 4G. Have both Gmail and Windows live running. Sorry live is so much easier and smarter to use. I have no choice so I use both. One for buss. and one for admin. to remain sane I forward everything to live. Sorry but don't throw out the baby with the bath water....
