There is NOTHING stored IN the Cloud
I have already written about this, but again nothing, NOTHING - zero - is stored " IN " the cloud. The cloud us simply using the internet to access stored data OVER THERE instead of in Data Center Room D505. Oh, over there is INDIA or CHINA and the data is then under the care and feeding of an outsourcing company like CSC or SAIC or, god forbid, IBM. Their employees, maybe not, maybe subcontractors, may be or may not be less than honest or ethical. May or may not bill proper hours for work performed. May or may not copy data to a USB device and leave the building with a ton of credit card numbers. Witness; SAIC and the CityTime debacle, witness IBM losing AstraZeneca for a loss of a billion dollars and witness CSC losing the National Health Services project in England because of poor performance. Disney has already tossed ACS - a Xerox company - out the door too. Cloud computing is madness.
