The business economy already depends on a 3rd party for their very existence. Power. Unless you still have a electric dynamo in your data center generating all of your power, you live or die by a 3rd party. Same is true in many cases with telephone service... and I'm sure many other services. The IT Services industry will figure this out... may not be today, next year or even 2015, but it will happen. It just doesn't make economic sense for companies to continue to try and make IT execution a core competency.
