Companies like Apple and Cisco (at least I think it was Cisco) are now offering enterprise management facilities for tablet devices.

This gives companies the ability to provide a 'closed garden' app store to device users, they can only install the software made available by corporate policy rather than the general market place.

This is only just starting to be used but it's a logical next step for companies that want to push the use of tablets in enterprise.
