I have a question. Unless you have a sucky (blowy?) fan that makes a lot of noise, who cares if the process uses a few extra cycles? Is there a 2 second additional lag time, or perhaps an additional 2 millisecond lag time? Does it use up another $ .0001 of electricity? (MAYBE this would be an issue operating from a laptop battery, but I rarely do that.) I don't have any real problems with FF - but then I'm not fast enough to notice a lag of even several ms, and I don't have much use for facebook.
