For me it's clear that emergent = no authority. So I didn't bother going over that part of the argument. If that's not clear to you, just say so. What I said was not delivered without context to make it "seem more correct than it deserves" (now that was spurious!). It's just delivered without the "Great Big Book of Why This Means That" that is the linguistic scientific discourse of the last century. If you want me to go into that, just ask what I mean.
