You might be able to multi-task with Verizon 3g
I am pretty sure that some of the 3g Androids on Verizon can multi-task. So it may be possible that the iPhone 4s will be able to.
Frankly, although I can do it on my Android on 4g, I have never found an ocassion where that would be useful.
