I'm getting 20Mbps download and 8Mbps upload on my Android on 4g. My battery lasts all day because I bought a $4 app that manages it for me. It's a small price to pay for a faster phone with a much larger screen.
The iPhone screen looks like it is getting smaller and smaller. I know it is because there are so many smartphones with larger screens.
