When we say "user" I am thinking of someone in an office environment. So that you can see where I'mcoming from:
#7 Free: Most users probably don't care. It just a tool to get their job done. How much was paid for it is moot. Even home users don't really think about the cost of Windows, since it usually comes with their computer and they don't think much about it after that.
#6 No infections: Better to educate them anyway. You may be safer from malware, but that does not protect against social engineering. Apple claimed there was no malware on Macs and look what happened.
