Depends on what a game function needs.
Pirates of the Caribbean Online (a Disney product) prompts UAC under Windows 7 when it first runs.

Heck, when you install your printer software, or want to update your Java/Flash/Acrobat/QuickTime/other software, UAC gets prompted. Is that Microsoft's fault? I doubt it.
