I hope this doesn't come off as flippant, because its not supposed to be, but I cannot see how your BSc, Msc & teaching science have prepared you for a career in Data Analytics, as opposed to someone who has a B.Comp (Applied Computing) with a major in Database Design, and 13 years of experience in ETL (as it is now known, though all flavours and buzzwords).

When it all comes down to it, a B.Sc (Math) or (Stats) might be much more appropriate, as what you are looking for are exceptions from the norm, and a statistical analysis would seem to be much more useful in determining trends and anomalies.
