Work is what you make it
There is always room for joy, I guess different people have different views, but if it were me, I would be going through other tickets that could be handled via email, or remoting in or... I save the 'fun stuff' for my time, and always try to give all my time the employer is paying for to things that benefit them. Perhaps that is why I am normally hated by fellow employees and the first to get a raises / promotions. I am certain that some have been taken advantage of (I probably have been too), but I have found that overall I am happier, my career has moved forward faster by always giving my employer 100%.

Funny thing when you do that the company tends to value you more than when you don't, and normally a company will compensate you for your efforts, if not, probably time to move on.
