Lacking in Facebook
> " The ability to segregate your associations into circles gives me the degree of control that I always felt was lacking in Facebook. "
Sir... That was never lacking in Facebook. Facebook has had 'Lists' for a really long time, and were recently made more prominent. But they always worked just fine.
These provide excellent tools to select the appropriate audience for a post. And, like in G+ circles, people can be on more than one list at the same time. I define some people as per one of the languages I speak, so they only get posts in that language.
Or when you go out at night and meet some girls of negotiable repute, then you add those to a different list that your business contacts are on, or your wife's friends. It's all so easy.
And go really advanced by posting the very same picture TWICE, in parallel, distributed to groups you want to keep separate, to ensure that your business contact doesn't post a stupid remark that your nightlife party fling might find objectionable. Or the other way around.
Don't get me wrong, G+ is just fine, but to say that it offers features that FB doesn't is simply not accurate, and we would not want to be inaccurate in an online magazine, right?
