I totally agree, but the reality remains that cost is an issue, and you tell them what the difference is. You also tell them what the future will be, yes we can do this but I can almost guarantee that you will have issues in the future with your network, so you can spend the money now or later. If later is the case then you have bought a 8 port switch and run cables to that location. I have had clients expand past an 8 port switch so they go out and but a really cheap 16 or 24 port and then can't figure out why it wont work. It was too expensive to have me come down and give them advice. Oh and by the way customer LOVE " I told you so"....ha ha ha
