We evaluated LISP for its vector processing capabilities, but finally opted for APL, which whas far superior. One of the nerd in class wrote an IBM 360 simulator complete with processor and memory and a compiler for its virtual machine...all in APL. These were the real times ! Now all we take about is about how shiny the buttons are on my iPhone...
