Everyone copies everyone else. Google and Microsoft copies Apple while Apple goes and copies small innovations made by other companies and calls them their own. Apple then proclaims as loud as it can that it has made a new "innovation". While their products are solid performers, they are not creators of new technology or innovators of new interfaces. They are good at integration.

However, with Apple's latest behavior of trying to sue any real competition into oblivion I cannot recommend their products to anyone nor would I willingly own their devices.
