I also remember the time before the iPhone :-p I owned a Palm myself (briefly). But apparently it doesn't matter who was their first because in the smartphone market Windows Mobile has been long forgotten and Palm has been screwed over by HP. Who cares who was first? In such rapidly evolving markets it only matters who's their NOW.

Also, in the end, Graham Bell was first but I don't think he really cares anymore
