I'm sure it's just me, but I don't know or care how much others in my field earn. I feel adequately compensated; I guess that's all that's important.

I haven't been job hunting in almost twenty years, so I don't know how easy it is to land a job in this field.

I enjoy the dynamics of the job, and still get a big kick out of troubleshooting; more than I ever got from programming.
