Ok I've enabled it. But how do I turn it off if I wish? Tried changing the expiry date and that failed.

Figured it out.
InChrome: CTRL + SHIFT + J
Select 'Resources' Tab
Expand 'Cookies'
Select URL 'www.google.com' --- Note I had to change mine to www.google.com.au to get it working originally.
Located "PREF" with the line beginning with 'ID=03fd476a699d648...'
Right Click and select Delete.
