It's rather sad to imagine someone who's so board and un-creative that all they can think to do w their money is buy some of this crap. How likely is it that the mono-cycle or submarine will be used for less than 10 hours. And it seems to me that hiring someone to mow your lawn is money much better spent than the robot mower. There is so much in the world that needs attention and so much good can be done if you have these kind of resources. It's rather sad, but mostly disgusting.

To make the top 1% you have to make somewhere in the neighborhood of $380,000 a year. I'd say most people in that range couldn't afford most things on this list.


The bottom 50% of wage earners (which is a TON of people, btw), pay 2.7% of all federal income tax. People need to stop waiting for everything to be given to them. Learn a trade, work hard, move up and support yourself. Raising taxes on the top 1% (many of whom are small business owners, who provide...wait for it....JOBS!) is not the answer. Stifling the private sector with higher taxes and regulations hinders job creation and leads to a welfare state where people want everything but are willing to do nothing in return.

Seeing as how most of the goofy crap on here is from Hammacher Schlemmer, I have to wonder just how many of each thing listed has been sold. I mean really, who opens up a catalog, sees that mini sub, and says: "Only 2 mil? Heck yeah!" then places an order?

The Razer better have something going for it that's not listed. I got a Toshiba Qosmio laptop with i7 processor, 8 GB RAM, GPU with 2.5 GB VRAM, and a 18" HD screen with a Blue Ray player for about half that price. It's been a great laptop so far (9 months).
