Quite a few neat gadgets I didn't even know existed.
Question: Why does a Logitech Wireless Wave Keyboard have a wire sticking out of the back?

Doesn't say the keyboard is wireless

It has a wire because some dummy (me) snagged the wrong photo.

The wireless version of the Wave Keyboard looks the same - only no wire obviously.

"Wireless Keyboard"

The keyboard needs a mode of communicating with the CPU. This one probably uses RF, hence, the need for an antenna.

Its not wireless, which is good. You would either be changing batteries every few days or re-charging at night. I prefer wired keyboards/mouse because I can lose money if the battery dies without too much warning.

It is wireless, I've had this keyboard for about 6 months and I have only changed batteries once. It has downloadable software that monitors the battery life and lets you customize the many button that it has.
