Classy and well said. I couldn't agree more. I have owned a WP7 device for almost two years, so I obviously know a bit about the platform, but it's surprising how often I get a "what's that?" from people. This tells me two things: 1. People are interested (which is good). 2. Many people don't even know it exists (obviously very bad).
Now think about that for a moment. With the exception if iPhone fanatics (notice I said fanatics, not users, so I am not referring to all iPhone users), I have not had anyone who asked about my phone mention anything about the quality or reputation. They simply don't know about the platform at all. This is an obvious failure of marketing.
(The one person that did question the quality? It went something like this: "How could you use that? I used an Android once and hated it. I'll never use anything but an iPhone. Everything else is garbage")
