You propose an interesting solution, but many of my clients own business management software, and their staff training, is firmly in Windows. Secondly, the apps involved may or may not be Linux compliant or even exist!!! I do agree that Linux is a wonderful operating system, but my clients do not live for the operating system alone. Their work involves all of their business apps and that is another story. Third, the cost of conversion to Linux!!! Oh, I do not even want to consider that. It will be interesting, however, to research this a bit.
