#1. is already happening
#2. has been true for at least 50 years
#3. has been growing for at least 50 years
#4. is already happening
#5. maybe, this has been growing slightly, but a tipping point may be near with the growing service-based economy. Factories (where they still exist) will still need people to show up in person, of course. The dark shop is still a long way off for most industries.
In point 1, the author states, "(Workers) will need to plan for continuous employment over longer life spans and make education an ongoing commitment." In point 4 she comments, "To remain employable, workers need to develop higher-order thinking skills, embrace emerging technology, and become lifelong learners."

Any IT professional who wants to enter and remain in the top tier of his profession simply has to accept that in our line of work, your education never comes to an end. If you stop learning, your knowledge gets stuck in time and in a few years you'll struggle to grasp the latest technologies and best practices. This is why most certification programs such as Cisco, CISSP, and now even CompTIA require certified professionals to re-certify and/or engage in CPE.

Women Rising
klibert 9th Jan 2012
I support #3- "Women rising: Working women will impact the marketplace." I can already see this happening within the company I work for. It's majority women here, who all own their own small companies or projects.
