And she'll freeze up and crash.I download a lot and I give each program a couple of minutes. If it doesn't meet with my expectations,I dump it.
That's just the thing, GtkOrphan is supposed to only find unused libraries. That means one should be able to remove any libraries it finds. If it shows libraries still in use by installed packages it means GtkOrphan doesn't work as it should. Of course, if one installed anything outside the scope of the Debian installer its libraries will be seen as unused. That's why it's best to first change anything one wants to install into a .deb file and use dpkg to install it.

Ubuntu Tweak
bobc4012@... 14th Jan 2012
I found Ubuntu Tweak much more useful than "Cruft" and "Janitor". I ran Cruft once and it deleted stuff and I had to re-install. Ubuntu Tweak also has a lot more options for doing other things. You can download the Debian .deb file from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-tweak/+download , so it sould work on any Debian based system.

Yeah I did that too once because I use root privileges to open "Janitot", and clean so well the system that erased the system-files from the partition... Silly.

Thanks for the tools Jack!
