Star Trek 6 is my favorite due to its murder mystery device (and consistency with the tv series in treating Klingons like Russians sending convicts to a Siberian planet), and then Star Trek 2 being consistent with the tv series emotional relationship between Kirk, McCoy, and Spock as in The Empath episode). All the other movies are cartoonish to me. I did like the new Star Trek reboot but was disappointed with the time travel and inconsistency with the TV series (Spock should have been a long-time officer under Captain Pike, and Kirk should have been a star pupil being beat up by Finnigan at the star fleet academy).
