Are you kidding or just not understanding
Yes an Mb = Megabit but the meaning of both of those vary according to context.
For example, following accepted practice
A 1 Megabit cable modem transfers 1,000,000 bits/sec
but
A 1 Megabit memory chip holds 1,048,576 bits
