Had a 'used amazon' earlier 32 gb Transformer w a dock and there were many things I liked about it particularly the dock, The Android was a bit flaky on occasion and I experienced a couple instances where the power switch would not work or it would not boot properly so I returned the unit within my 30 Day period. InterestinglyAmazon said there was no Asus warranty on the unit, but registration with Asus confirmed by email there was in fact a full one year manufacturers warranty on the unit.
Was waiting for the Transformer prime at a more reasonable price, but it is still too pricey so took the leap onto the cheap Playbook and I like it but still waiting on OS2 to see if it is what I want, but am inclined to say yes at this point.

Not a good idea to use a metal tool to pop the screen - really good way to 1. crack the screen and 2. damage the metal housing.
Did you realize that in the 2 docking mounts there are locks that will release the clips at the bottom of the screen making it easier and less likely to break the plastic tabs.
This is all really well documented on XDA forum.

So far I really like the Prime. It is quick and the battery does hold up well. I added the keyboard a couple of weeks ago. I use it in meetings to take notes and monitor our help desk. So far I have gone as long as 3 days without recharging with pretty steady daily use. It blows away my coworkers IPad.
I don't know how I did it but I have a slight dent on top of case. Happened first day I had it, it has not caused any problems with the operating system or face of tablet. I could probably be able to open it now and push small dent out but most likely leave it as it isn't causing any problem. It is my first tablet so am learning as I go along. It does go to the vertical mode once in a while while I am working in the horizontal mode with out any reason. After reading the comments I am sure I will purchase the keyboard in the near future. I would probably been better off with a hard plastic case. The tablet fits loose in sleeve from ASUS, unable to use camera etc with out first jostling the pad around in it to get eye in opening for taking pictures. Don't recommend the sleeve, go with hard leather case.
Just noticed my new mini 32GB SD card is missing. SD Card placement is not protected so be careful if you don't have sleeve or case to put tablet in. If you happen to run your hand along side of tablet while working with it and bump the Mini SD card slot you can cause it to come out. Suggest putting small piece of scotch tape or equivalent to cover slot. Tablet doesn't pick up WiFi signal as well as my older (2003 Toshiba) laptop. As stated the battery life is good and response time is excellent.
I don't see even a logo or image related to that franchise.
Because of the aluminum case GPS and WiFi signal pickup is very poor I would wait for the newer T700 model where they go back to plastic for the case. The Ipad got around this problem
by placing antenna at or near the plastic Apple logo.
