Hobbling source control apps seems like the quickest way to shoot yourself in the foot.. well, unless they're trying now to have LESS apps crowding the app store.
The user is forced to choose between having access to basic functionality (like auto-detection of SSH keys, for example) and having the "guaranteed safe!" stamp from the vendor on it.
Apple seems to be taking the cue that users care more about security than they do about functionality. They don't, and I guarantee this is the first of many useful apps to flee the "Mac App Store."

So this is melding iOS to OSX? Dumbing down the computer until it is a big phone with no access to the filesystem?
