winblows... i mean windows vista, se7en and 8ight are all the same kernel 6.xxxx.xxxxx, version number as you call it, no big improvements over it's predecessor(s) so, no kernel jump. no surprise really. they say that se7en is what vista was supposed to be so 8ight must be what se7en was supposed to be. i more worried about whats under the hood than the (lack of) paint job. actually i've had it uninstalled for at least 3 months. it does seem to boot a few seconds faster than se7en but, where it really shines is how fast it shuts down. which is good considering i don't like the "no desktop" style of interface that's being semi-forced on us. oh well...
