Vague
While I disagree with most of what you said on a self evaluation basis, I believe I am amongst the best in the field of IT, more specifically software engineering. I however can agree that some of these factors come into play in other fields of IT.
What you lack is distinction of where your opinions apply.
A few points I totally disagree with are:
3.) This is all to do with management. While the odd midnight call arises, 1 shouldn't expect to have to regularly work overtime. If management is done well, not too much should go wrong and your overtime will be scheduled.
4.) Not that I don't like people, most people I don't find stimulating, this can be extremely frustrating, so at best, I avoid conversation with most people, yet this has never been a major impediment for me.
7.) While you may switch between tasks, nobody can multitask. We are just like a CPU with 1 core, and at most, a CPU with 1 core can do 1 task at a time. And yes, thinking is somewhat different. Some environments limit or require a person to only working with 1 task at a time such as SCRUM methodology in software and I imagine 1 would potentially be working on 1 task for weeks within the R&D environment.
8.) I have always wanted to run my own software company. In fact, it is almost better if the CEO has been in the trenches, they will then know the ins and outs of the field as they climb the ladder, therefore allowing them to make better decisions and communicate with better understanding.
10.) My availability via cellphone is maybe close to 5 or 6% in general. And this has never been an issue in all my years of working (including corporate companies).
