I had the same conversations about XP --> W7 and only introduced W7 when our suppliers stopped shipping new PCs with the XP OS installed.

Continual upgrading of an operating system - hmmmm - how do I calculate the ROI based on continuing to do what we currently do.

I'm a bit over patching, service packs, OS upgrades.
