Linux and Commodore
Since both of those have been mentioned in this thread. Commodore is revamping and coming back with support from Linux OS and integrating with the old Commodore OS for the look and feel of the old 64 and will not only allow you to play the old stuff, but it you can also install a Windows OS and flip around willy nilly. The Amiga Mini has also been released. So there is an alternative to Windows based and Apple based computers. Having had gone through the Commodore experience with just about all the models decades ago, I'm temped to purchase a 64x and an Amiga Mini, but I have so many computers now, I don't have the room and the costs are a little higher than average.
