What have sports teams, men on horses, and arab dress, go to do with this subject, whoever they work for?

And what do russian spacesuits have to do with NASA?

Despite all the cold-war hoopla, NASA and the Soviet (later Russian) space program have worked relatively well together through the years. We had to learn how to deal with some of their equipment and vice versa.

There are still Soviet-style Orlan space suits on the International Space Station and our crews don the Sokol whenever they fly in a Soyuz module.
I think you missed the point. These are from a NASA flickr stream, and TR decided to pull out images showing how outfits have evolved, along with a few humorously candid shots of NASA-folk in various states of (un)dress.

As for the "arab dress" there is a good caption here:
http://www.apollomissionphotos.com/index_merc_vin_org7.html

The original Mercury 7 astronauts took survival training and were taught to turn their outfits and anything else they could scrounge (e.g. parachute silk) into gear that would let them survive desert conditions in case they had to re-enter in an emergency and land somewhere unexpected.

(Insert Tatooine joke here)

an amazing view into the Nasa world- great that so much is available now- shame so much is gone as well.

I hope the next president refunds Nasa
