I found a few tweaks make Unity a lot more useful and acceptable. Maybe the key is having enough customization available to insure it is usable by more people.

I use Ubuntu only on desktop machines so I am not so sure I need some of the features designed for touch displays. I will try out the new release and see how it fits.
