As a 4G user on my Droid Bionic with Verizon, data drops can be a pain. This article, while older, presents some background to the data connectivity problem that continues to hamper Verizon 4G LTE users. That's not new. I've got that in Froyo. It doesn't show the screens like in ICS, but it presents up to the last eight apps used.
