...did you use the Norton Utilities 1, 2 or 3 for Windows 95?

Check out this gallery of images and let us know what you remember about those days.

Awesome Tool

My dad had a version of this for his loaner PC (one he got to take home from work) and we used to have all kinds of fun hiding files/folders and hacking certain games using the hex editor. It was probably the best tool put out by Symantec.
I certainly miss the Norton SystemWorks Professional package that Norton had for several years. That used to get you a package with Norton Utilities, anti-virus, and even a drive imaging program, all usually in the Staples ad for nothing after rebates.

A wonderful tool

Yes a wonderful tool indeed. What a mess my computer would have been without that piece of software. It trapped several viruses on floppies from different sources. Whodathunk it would have evolved into the bloated, overpriced, system hog that's available today.

Norton Utilities
romolo@... Updated - 11th Apr 2012
Wonderful piece of crap. It was supposed to keep your computer in tip top condition. All it did was slow it down.
If it was so good as some claim, why then did Norton kill it?
Symantec lost their crown after this fiasco and new companies took up the number one position.
