Thanks for your comment. I'm not sure if you're saying that as a good or bad thing...or just a thing. Yes, it is wiretapping, and of course any sniffer can be used for cracking purposes. However, knowing what's going on in your own network and using it for troubleshooting is a valuable thing for network admins. Though it can be used for "red team" efforts, the "blue team" can also take advantage of it.
