If you go back into the past, you'll notice a whole lot of people announce the end of days if we use X. They were wrong.
The point is, as a species we do evolve to allow these new things in our life. Just because it might bring the fall of civilisation (I'm not saying that's what you mean, of course you don't) doesn't mean it will.
I think there will always be stimulation and I think certain devices will make you think more everyday as you're given more intelligent information to process. These things don't live your life for you yet!
