Who can forget that epic 70's disaster (of a) film that nearly destroyed a handful of theaters with SENSOROUND, an audio trick that pumped up the base to the point where some buildings actually developed cracks. If the sound didn't kill you, the dialog and "acting" might.
Other "great" disaster films include "The Posiden Adventure", "The Towering Inferno", and the seemingly endless string of Airport movies.

...or if you had the foresight to PRINT OUT THE INTERNET before it all went down, I warmly recommend the webcomic Romantically Apocalyptic.

1."Zombieland" is definitely a fun movie to watch and has good rules like #1 Cardio, you have to out run the zombies, #2 buckle your seat belt and #3 Double tap, a confirming kill shot. Another rule is not to play zombie with new house guests.
2."Resident Evil" has some bits of fun but skip the sequels.
3."Shaun of the Dead" is a silly movie which might make for a good distraction while dealing with a post apocolypse world.
4."The Quiet Earth" is a good movie but depressing if there is no one else alive.
5."Night of the Comet" is a campy spoof of the genre.
6."Fido" is a good zombie as a pet movie
7."A Boy and His Dog" movie has a nicer ending than the story.

I thought it was 'taste-fully' implied in the movie, without showing it; we saw his REAL friend healthier--and the devious b*tch was gone--as the end titles rolled (and the ironically-droll song played). I thought everybody got it....
(BTW: "Kennedy, ...Kennedy, ....Kennedy,....")

... if not particularly good taste.
You could sit down and watch a Inconvenient Truth and say My God they where right.
