either ...
1) press the key to jump to whatever the "Last Slide" is
or ...
2) type any slide number (plus ENTER) to jump to that slide (that way you can have the luxury of several alternative "endings" depending on the cause for cutting short, or audience mood).
Either way, your audience won't know what you are doing (nor see your cursor movement on screen).
Of course, NOTHING will "fool" the audience if you've already distrubuted Handouts !
