1. Most of what was said applies to all large manufacturers of electronics who all use Chinese factories and methods, but you're singling out Apple because they're a headline target - you should take this up with the Chinese.
2. Why didn't you mention that there are a million workers in the FoxConn factory and that the general suicide rate in the US is twice as high at 110 per million? This surely shows that Foxconn workers must be some of the most contented in the world.
3. iPhones sell extremely well on eBay and I can't imagine many going to recycling when you can still get 100 for an old iPhone 3G. It's a similar story with Apple Macs which I think makes their products some of the greenest in the market. Other phones and PCs are worthless after a couple of years but "80% of recycled iPhones" probably equals a tiny fraction with 99% still in use..
