LimeService
CORDFrank 23rd Apr 2012
Originally located as an "outside-US" solution for us, I've found LimeSurvey effective and the operator Carsten Schmidt very good to deal with.
Creating a forms, in Google Docs, is simple and can handle the majority of features needed for most polls. It tabulates it in a Google Doc spreadsheet, which can be downloaded, etc. Very simple and very free!

SurveyGizmo
Nevember 26th Apr 2012
SurveyMonkey was my primary choice when our company started looking at using online surveys, but we decided we'd rather not have a contract if it could be avoided - unfortunately the types of things we needed to be able to do were only available with contract.

Does anyone have any experience with SurveyGizmo? We've been trying them for two weeks so far. The software is intuitive and robust, the customer service seems good, and the pricing seems fair. But two weeks is a very short period of time; I'd appreciate any feedback from other SurveyGizmo users.

I personally use a company called Smart Survey ( http://www.smart-survey.co.uk ) for my online surveys.
I found them as an alternative to Survey Monkey, who I had issues with due to being from the UK, and have found them to be better overall.
