I have had OneNote available to use for a long time now and have never really touched it. This article helped me understand what I could do with it. I now have the apps installed my Xoom and my DroidX and I am testing it out.

It probably rocks on a portable device, but I've been getting plenty of value from it on a desktop for years. It's a great 'catch-all' app.

I just started using OneNote, and it is awesome! It seamlessly integrates into my life, working with my smart phone for course work, automatically synchronizes online so that I don't have to save my work, if performing task at home. I see a long relationship with OneNote!

You know the drill: you copy (say, with the Snipping Tool) something off the web in picture form, but you want to edit, etc
OneNote allows this to be put in text form
Basically, Snip It, Paste into OneNote, and basically right-click on the picture, and select ???Copy Text from Picture
You may have to Spell Check, because the conversion will seldom be error free, but YOU HAVE TEXT, and OneNote is as good as anything else I have found
I keep Snip It and OneNote in my Task Bar

Been using OneNote since the 2007 version on laptop, but with the 2010 version on my Tablet PC, it is my total solution for note taking now... am loving it!

I organize my research work using OneNote 2010. With Skydrive in place, it has been even better.
