beware of spouse's persistence
My wife dropped her phone in the lake off of our dock. Put on my mask and snorkel and was successful in finding it lying on the murky and mucky bottom. Took out the battery, card, and set it out in the sun for a few hours. Then took it home and tried to charge the battery. Took it to a repair shop who turned it away saying it was not worth repairing. Left it alone for a few days and tried to turn it on. Success, it worked again with full functionality. Several weeks later I heard a clunking sound from downstairs. I went to the washing machine and called my wife over to ask if she knew anything. She looked at me as if she had seen a ghost........ Well, that was "it" for the phone.
