Microsoft is just too awesome to say goodbey to. Off coarse, other OSs can do the basics too. But "the basics" isn't very much these days. I want my computer to be my personal digital powerhouse and not the same system my neighbours, family and friends have (Mac-something). With Windows you will always have your own system, I just don't feel that with Macs.
