.epub vs .ibook
jebswebs 4th May 2012
I was just working on publishing a book to my iPad just yesterday and discovered this infomation...The choice of export types in iBooks Author are PDF, text or .iBooks - not .ePub. Although .ibooks is a form of the EPUB format, they are not the same and books published in .ibooks can only be read by iBooks on the iPad. There is currently no iBooks reader for the Mac OSX. I have not found any software (yet) that will convert .ibooks to .epub

Many thanks for the clarification. While working through this I hadn't even noticed that difference.
