Clarification
wtkelly@... 14th May 2012
Michael-- Some critics cite that standalone PM apps for tablets don't offer enough documentation for project schedules and other project artifacts. Personally, I've seen a lot of improvement in these tablet apps since they first launched but hopefully there are still more improvements to come. Hope this clarifies my point. Will
Are any of these available for a platform other than the iPad?

I'm not sure why the distinction is made - I work with HappyTODOS (www.happytodos.com), and it works just as well on my tablet (Ok, an iPad :)) as it works on my desktop browser - and laptop too, for that matter.

I can understand a separate app for smart phones - but having a tool uniquely for tablets seems a bit redundant to me.

TeamworkPM.net
ksyed0@... 16th May 2012
I've been using the TeamworkPM.net site to manage some of my non-traditional projects, and I'm really liking it. They're very generous and allow full functionality with the free version, for up to 2 projects. The best part is that they have a very functional iPhone client. Unfortunately, they don't yet have a good iPad (universal) app yet.

Thanks for the thumbs up. We have optimized the web app to run really well on an iPad and we do have a full HTLM5 version as well which runs in a browser on most mobile devices.

The really good news however is that we are very close to releasing a full on iPad app for TeamworkPM. This will give you pretty much most the features you get in the web app so you will have a lot power managing your projects when you're on the go. Keep an eye on our blog and social links for more news on it.

Other tools
ksyed0@... 16th May 2012
Since we're talking about other tools for PMs, GoodReader is great for syncing docs with your cloud and reading almost any file format. I much prefer NotesPlus or Noteshelf to Penultimate - the notes in Penultimate are just too big to be useful.

SugarSync is a great cloud storage app too and will let you sync your files transparently in the background so you can read them on GoodReader.

OmniGraffle for iPad lets you import / view and edit Visio files (so does the Mac version).

Numbers lets you create and edit spreadsheets with some good power and functionality.

Don't forget Skype to let you make / participate in concalls wherever you have a WiFi signal.

Good luck fellow PMs!
